OUR CONTRIBUTIONS
We continue to honor our mission and the memory of Susan F. Lasky by contributing to the following programs in the Chicagoland area:
Rush University Medical Center
Rush University Medical Center’s Patient Navigation Services is designed to assist patients and family members to effectively access health-care services and ensure that they are not lost in the complexities of the health-care system. Patient navigators help individuals overcome obstacles ranging from financial and insurance difficulties to communication and information challenges; medical system barriers; and emotional concerns. The program also provides information about: Guest Rooms, Look Good...Feel Better, Man to Man, Reach to Recovery, Road to Recovery and Wig Banks.
University of Illinois Hospital Chicago

Gilda’s Club Chicago
The Young Adult Survivors Networking Group provides an opportunity for individuals in their 20's and 30's to share information and experiences related to their diagnosis and life situation. The weekly support group specifically focuses on bridging the gap of psychosocial support available to young adults living with cancer. Lectures on topics such as fertility and adoption are offered, and social activities provide an outlet for young adults dealing with cancer.
The III Plus program is a personalized program designed to enhance one’s life while living with cancer. Each member creates a personalized program from four core components; Support and Networking Groups, Lectures and Workshops, Social Activities and "Plus" programs, including Noogieland, Family Focus and Team Convene.
Mt. Sinai Hospital
The Oncology Patient Navigator Program connects cancer patients and their families to the best available resources while improving the quality of life while they fight this disease. Patients are given Navigators who act on their behalf to identify and obtain beneficial resources. They offer free, confidential assistance to cancer patients and those who care for them, from the emotional and physical changes that can occur. These Navigators are trained to listen to the patient’s needs and puts together a plan of action that is tailor-made just for them.
